4000 Series Aluminum Alloys
4000 series which belongs to wrought aluminum alloy with high silicon content(4%-13%) is characterized by the following properties:
Low coefficient of thermal expansion: Alloy composition is a large amount of Si(silicon) aluminum alloy with silicon content(4%-13%). By adding Si, can inhibit the thermal expansion rate.
High wear-resistance:By adding Si, can increase its wear-resistance.
Moderate hardness and strength:With the addition of certain alloying elements and the use of heat treatment and other methods of strengthening, aluminum alloy has higher strength than many alloy steel and aluminum alloy weight is lighter.
Good weldability : low melting point, good melt flow, easy feeding, and will not make the final product produces brittleness, thus adding material mainly used in the manufacture of aluminum alloy welding.
Fine machinability :The density of aluminum is small, about 1/3 of iron, low melting point, the molecular structure of aluminum is face-centered cubic structure, so it has strong plasticity, easy to process, made into a variety of profiles, plates and so on.
Heat treatable:Due to the lower melting point than other aluminum alloys, in addition to being used as the material of welding melting material,Si also uses Cu Mg and other types to improve the heat resistance by adding Ni.
Application field:

4032 Aluminum Alloy:
4032 Aluminum Alloy features a lower alloy element content compared to the 4Y32 but features an excellent workability with the highest tensile strength of the 4000 series alloys. 4Y32 Aluminum Alloy:
4Y32 Aluminum Alloy has a higher alloy element content compared to the 4032 series and features a better strength and wear resistance. The primary silicon size is controlled between 30-40μm.As owing unique properties, it is widely used in manufacture of all accessories and parts serviced in high temperature, such as auto air conditioner, peripheral accessories.
4043 Aluminum Alloy:
solubility is low, mostly used in welding electrode, and brazing electrode.
